Getting Started: Sending Your Project Media to aLaPony LLC for a Video Editing Project

Welcome to the aLaPony family! We are excited to bring your project to life. The first step is gathering your project assets—the raw ingredients such as video footage, photos, legacy media (tapes, slides, prints), drone flight locations, or property site access.

📥 Three Ways to Share Your Media

  • Option A: Dropbox Upload (Recommended): We will email you a dedicated, secure upload link. No Dropbox account is required—simply drag and drop your files directly from your browser.
  • Option B: Email: Best for quick reference files or attachments under 20MB. Send to Ted@aLaPonyLLC.com.
  • Option C: Physical Mail / Drop-Off: For legacy media (VHS/Hi8/miniDV tapes, photo albums, slides), USB drives, or physical hard drives, securely package and ship to: aLaPony LLC , 34125 Center Ridge Rd, PO Box 39034 North Ridgeville, OH 44039

✨ The Fun Extra: Music & Visuals

We include access to licensed, world-class stock libraries in your project workflow:

  • Adobe Stock: Browse stock.adobe.com for visual assets, motion graphics, and background music.
  • Musicbed: Browse musicbed.com for high-end cinematic music.
  • Action: Email us the Asset ID or Song Title, and we will incorporate it into your preview during our project review meeting.

⚖️ Content Policies & Next Steps

Content Policies: We adhere to strict legal and ethical standards and do not process illegal, hateful, or graphically violent material.

🎬 What Happens Next?

Once we review your assets, we prepare a preliminary concept or pre-proposal cut. We will meet on Zoom to review footage, select the best shots, and confirm scope. Following our review, you will receive a formal proposal. Once approved and the initial deposit is processed, your project is officially underway!

Property Preparation Guide: 3D Modeling & Aerial Imaging

To ensure your 3D walkthrough, spatial model, and aerial views look as polished and professional as possible, please use this checklist before our scheduled on-site capture. Because our high-resolution camera systems and aerial platforms capture every detail, minimizing clutter is key to achieving a clean, high-end look.

Exterior & Aerial Prep

  • Clear the Driveway & Street: Move all vehicles completely out of sight and away from the street directly in front of the property so they do not appear in aerial orbits or panoramic angles.
  • Lawn & Yard Care: Ensure lawns are freshly cut, edges trimmed, and all garden hoses, tools, lawn ornaments, toys, and trash bins are put away.
  • Neighborhood Courtesy: While not legally required, letting immediate neighbors know that an FAA-certified drone will be operating briefly for aerial imaging helps ensure a smooth, uninterrupted session.
  • Clear Flight Paths: Remove temporary obstructions, hanging decorations, or portable canopies that may interfere with low-altitude capture paths.

🛋️ Interior 3D & Walkthrough Prep (The "Showcase" Look)

  • Declutter Surfaces: Clear kitchen countertops, coffee tables, desks, and bathroom vanities. Store small appliances, cords, and personal items out of sight in cabinets.
  • Lighting Control: Replace any burnt-out lightbulbs before we arrive. We will turn on all intLighting & Fans: Replace any burned-out lightbulbs before arrival. We turn ON all interior lights and lamps, and turn OFF all ceiling fans to eliminate motion blur during panoramic and photogrammetry passes.erior lights and turn off all ceiling fans to prevent motion blur in the 8K 360° scans.
  • Windows & Doors: Open all interior doors fully to allow continuous spatial capture from room to room. Adjust blinds/curtains to balance natural light, and ensure glass surfaces are clean.
  • Pet & Personal Items: Store pet beds, food bowls, scratching posts, and toys. Ensure all toilet lids are closed and wastebaskets are tucked away.

👤 The "Clean Space" Rule

  • Vacate Active Scanning Areas: 360° and spatial capture systems record complete field-of-view perspectives in every direction simultaneously. People and pets cannot be present in the capture area during scanning passes.
  • Step Out of Sight: Plan for occupants and pets to remain outside, in an un-scanned utility area, or off-site during the scan so no accidental motion artifacts appear in the final 3D model.

🚀 Next Steps

Once on-site capture is complete, we process the photogrammetry datasets, panoramic scans, and aerial visual data to prepare your draft deliverables for our Zoom review meeting.
